What has love got to do with it? A parent’s love can cross several lines leading to a fight for survival.

Nancy Allen began her life in a seemingly respectable upper middle-classed family home. She had both parents resident and her father worked in the medical profession. Nancy describes him as a loving father but controlling in the way that he related to his family. It was this control that would affect the direction of her life and that of her family. Nancy tells us a moving and sometimes harrowing story that is emotional and inspiring.

About The Guest :

Nancy Allen had her life changed at age 13 by the actions of a controlling father. She has encountered many experiences in her life which has led her to actively work to help other victims of abuse to get the help that is needed to survive. She provides help through mentorship , group coaching and a podcast which explores all aspects of incest and how it might affect a persons life.

About the host:

Jacqui has experienced a great deal of mental and physical trauma in her life; the most painful beginning at age 11. She struggled throughout her life to find a community of support who could understand and help her and low self-esteem stood in her way. Her mission is to help others who have had experiences which have affected their life to find a way forwards.
